Rock Band Instruments Suck?
November 24th 2007 02:02
By now regular readers of Gamemonger will know my fascination with Guitar Hero and Rock Band ... but the following is something I didn't expect to write.
The complaints have been constant and many from owners of the fairly expensive Xbox 360 title, since the US launch the other week, regarding the guitar and drum kits. Apparently many have complained about the quality and reliability of the instruments, which is surprising when you consider how sturdy the original Guitar Hero guitars were.
Many users are complaining about the surface of the drums, large dents appearing after only a few short hours of play time, which is either an indication of people hitting them too hard, or how Harmonix underdeveloped the kit for those who really want to throw the hammer down.
Hopefully this problem will be fixed once the game reaches our shores next year. I, for one, certainly hope so. Perhaps a harder outer coating for the drums at the very least. More on this once Harmonix responds to customer complaints, something they are yet to do ...
